Hybrid Layouts

I put some new hybrid layouts in a bunch of galleries this week, so I thought I would share :)

After 4 years of talking about it, and trying to plan it, and trying to make it happen, we finally have a deck. I love decks. I love to sit outside at the end of the day and read a book in the fresh air and sunshine. I love eating outside. I love doing big fat nothing but just sitting there, enjoy being outside. I am so so SO happy that we finally have our deck. It took 2 guys 4 days to build it. We were SO impressed! We scored a sweet dining set on super sale at Home Depot, so we can eat out there. We want to get some big comfy wicker furniture to fill in more of the space and make it more comfortable and relaxing. I really wanted a swing, but I don't think it's gonna happen. I'm thinking a hammock down in the yard somewhere might be nice instead. So this is my ode to the new deck. Photos from my iPhone and edited with Instagram :)

This layout I finished at the end of March/beginning of April. I can't remember. It was right when Lauren Grier released that kit. I saw the wordart and it was right before taking my big PE test for the third time, and I was stressing to the MAX. The wordart just spoke to me, and I knew I had to do something with it. It's a nice little reminder to try not to stress over the little things, and to have a little bit more faith in God and his plan for me. It was also a bit of a crafting miracle, lol. I have more packages of 12x12 and 8.5x11 cardstock than I will probably ever need in life. I stopped buying it ages ago (with the exception of Kraft, cuz I'm obsessed, and I randomly pick up the variety packs from Papertrey Ink because I LOVE their cardstock), but I still have so, so much. Well, that gorgeous colored cardstock background was an EXACT color match to the digital paper I used when I created the page. I couldn't believe it!! I figured I'd have to settle on something that was off, just because that's my luck 99% of the time. It was like the universe was on my side that night. :)

You can click on the images to be taken to the layouts in my gallery at Sweet Shoppe Designs for full credits and links. :)
My main goal for May, now that I *think* life is going to settle down a little bit, is to create and upload 1 project a week. Whether that's a card, or a layout, or an altered project, or whatever. No more cramming 5 projects in at the end of the month because I have the worst time management skills on earth, lol. Or at least that's my goal anyway. We'll see how it goes!
There are some awesome new goodies coming out this weekend at SSD, so I'm gonna go home and play some more tonight. Next weekend is NSD (National Scrapbooking Day), and the SSD designers are already blowing my mind with the goodies they have ready. I can't wait to see what else they put out!!
Have a good one!

*Tap Tap Tap* Is this thing on?

Hello there world! It's been a while huh? I know, I cheated on blogger with Tumblr. I'm not gonna lie, I thoroughly enjoy tumblr. But I've decided I need to get back to blogging my craft stuff, instead of just sticking it in galleries for it to get lost amongst thousands of projects. I want to get into joining more challenges and things too (I have SO MUCH traditional scrapping stuff that I really should put to good use). So, I'm resurrecting this lil crafty blog. And this time it will stay a crafty blog. I intend to use my tumblr for my more personal posts, and keep this crafty blog full of craftiness.

Gonna change up the layout, probably use a different one of Zoe's fabulous Blog-in-a-box products (cuz I want something other than the standard template, but I'm too lazy to do it myself), and get things going around here. Should be fun! Stay tuned!
